In the first leg of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, played under a heavy snowfall, the Bianconeri are held down home to a 2-3 by Spalletti’s side. Three goals down, scored by Mancini, Tommasi and Perrotta, Capello’s side closes the match 2-3 thanks to Del Piero’s brace. “He was, the match changed when he got in. When he gets in, he always makes the difference. He scored a brace and not only that: he showed a great determination in driving the team.. He behaved as the Captain” said Capello.
